Western Flower Design Workshop

Explore the art of Western floral design in a creative and welcoming environment. Learn the principles of floral composition, color harmony, and contemporary arrangement techniques while creating beautiful designs with fresh seasonal flowers.

No previous experience is required. All tools and flowers are provided for each workshop, and participants may take their floral arrangements home after class.

About the Instructor

Demin Fan is a certified Master of the Sogetsu School of Ikebana, a member of the Sogetsu Teachers Association, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Sogetsu New York Branch. She is also a Certified Floral Designer (CFD®) accredited by the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD®).

Drawing upon her expertise in both traditional Japanese floral art and contemporary Western floral design, Demin creates distinctive floral experiences that blend artistic expression, technical excellence, and a deep appreciation for nature. Through her teaching and design work, she encourages creativity, personal expression, and a greater understanding of the beauty and spirit of flowers.
